Frequent manual updates and on-premises system dependencies made product management inefficient, while the rigid classification system limited flexibility. Navigating the catalog was cumbersome, leading to a poor user experience. To streamline operations, reduce costs, and modernize their commerce architecture, Hubbell needed a fully composable, scalable solution that could simplify product management without disrupting business continuity.

The Solution

Hubbell partnered with Zaelab to migrate from SAP Hybris to Commercetools, embracing a fully composable, modern commerce stack. This transformation involved rebuilding their product catalog architecture in Commercetools, integrating Contentful for enhanced content management, and optimizing data flow from their Stibo STEP PIM system.

Zaelab created a custom product type structure within Commercetools, ensuring that all product variants and attributes could be efficiently stored, retrieved, and displayed. The new system reduced the need for manual data entry, enabled faster product updates, and allowed for a seamless display of product details across multiple platforms.
